Doesn't get any better than this! Pendant for the serious collectors!
The primary bubble travels through a very long cavity (about 3 inches long / 7.8 cm). This is exceptionally long! The crystal itself is very clear so you can clearly see the bubble as it travels.
There is additionally another large bubble below in a tight cavity. Crystals with a bubble traveling in very long cavities do not come by often, and this one is exceptional. Did we say already that this is a true collector piece lol

PRICING: this is a highly priced item, thus it is fair to wonder why it is so pricey.
For us, rarity of a piece is illustrated by a simple question "when was last time you saw a piece last this". For this one, the answer is quite simple: rarely. We handled thousands of enhydros, so we have a pretty good idea when it comes to rarity. This one in this size and clarity is truly an exceptional piece, thus its high price.

An additional important comment: we "stabilize" enhydros like these, meaning we do not sell them as soon as they are made, but we "age them" like a good wine or cheese. That way, we monitor them over months to make sure that there is no leak whatsoever (leaks in enhydros -ie losing the bubble- happens through micro cavities when they are too close to the surface; they tend to take months for it to happen since we are talking micro-leaks). Note that there is a natural surface reaching cavity in the back of this crystal, but it is away from the main cavity, and thus has no impact on the integrity of the main enhydro.

ENHYDRO DEFINITION
Here is a simplified explanation of what is an “ENHYDRO”, these trapped bubbles in a liquid inside a crystal.
Simply put, quartz typically forms in hot water (containing dissolved silica). As the crystal grows at different speeds, liquid can be trapped as the rest of the crystal continues to grow around it. As the crystal cools down, the trapped liquid then contracts and forms a vapor bubble. This is how “enhydros” form (scientist refers to these as “fluid inclusions”). The liquid can trap also other elements such as carbon, oil (petroleum trapped in quartz from Pakistan for example) etc... These are basically “geochemical time capsules” of the environment in which the crystal was growing. There are documented examples of fluid inclusions dating the early Precambrian (3 billion years old!).

A word of CAUTION: do not clean your enhydro in these ultrasonic cleaners! The crystal may have micro-fractures and the last thing you want is for the bubble to slowly escape!
Also do not clean your quartz in super-hot or extremely cold water, as this will cause stress on the crystal, and it may break. So, use lukewarm water (and if you use a toothbrush, do not use the vibrating kind!)
